Your mission
  • Own Finiata’s risk exposure and on balance sheet portfolio of small SME lending and pro-actively implement cross-functional measures to manage it
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations whilst taking a commercial and practical approach to risk-based challenges
  • Develop and improve Finiata´s credit risk strategy, policy, tools and reviews on existing market segments and lead the expansion into new target segments
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to move towards Finiata's vision of tech-enabled automated underwriting and risk decisioning.
  • Proactive collaboration with Finance in setting up financial risk policies, and continuously develop risk performance dashboards & risk reporting to facilitate better business steering through fact based reporting and data-driven forecasts 
  • Ensure adequate limits (VaR, sensitivities, stress) and risk framework are in place aligning with the firm’s overall risk appetite
  • Demonstrate thought leadership on the SME lending risk management & landscape as well as long-term strategies for expansion into new market segments
  • Provide support, education and training for building risk awareness and ensuring regulatory compliance within the organization
  • Lead and develop the growing team of underwriters and risk managers.
Your profile
  • Min. 5 years of experience in credit risk at a bank/insurance/payments/credit card company, exposure to SME Lending is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills combined with hands on approach
  • Experience in automated credit decisioning models is a plus
  • Leadership experience 
  • FinTech experience is a big plus
  • Start-up compatibility - autonomous, curious, collaborative, doer, thinking outside of the box attitude, hands-on mentality
  • English C1+ mandatory. Higher level in German, Polish, French, Italian or Spanish is a plus.
